Left-armer Panesar happy with wicket-taking return
Abu Dhabi: Monty Panesar was happy after taking a wicket in what he termed his "second debut" for England against Pakistan yesterday.
The left-arm spinner has been in the international wilderness since the first Ashes Test of 2009, when his unlikely batting heroics helped England save the match against Australia in Cardiff.
But an injury to Chris Tremlett and the turn-friendly wicket here gave Panesar his long-awaited opportunity.
"I was a bit nervous," said Panesar, who was only told he would be playing 20 minutes before the toss.
